For months I have been speaking about the dangers of the HR800 bill that passed through the House of Representative on a very fast track. I testified to the Kennedy Miller committee on the pressure and harassment to sign cards that will surely happen if the unions don’t have to go through an NLRB supervised election, I have warned companies of the dangers that will occur if you don’t agree to a union’s unreasonable demands; within 3 months, a mediator will be appointed, and a month later… an arbitrator will imposeterms on you.

In this time the unions have continued a massive grass roots campaign soliciting emails and letters to be sent to politicians to demonstrate widespread support for the bill and money to help pay for lobbying and solicitation.
The unions have committed to bring 100,000 supporters across the country to work on getting this bill passed. Many Politicians have felt the heat of these massive pressure tactics and have caved in and supported the passage of this bill.
We have heard very little from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee or other management associations who should be educating and updating us on the forward movement of HR800.
Now the unions are mobilizing members and supporters for a massive demonstration in Washington D.C. on June 19th (Today) and we arestill not hearing much of anything from the Business Community.
We also need to start calling our politicians in the House and Senate to let them know we do not support passage of HR800!
This should be a call for everyone to do their part to stop the bill in its tracks. Secret ballot elections are the only way employees can go to the ballot box and vote what is best for them and their familybased on the knowledge they have obtained during the election process.
