Permanent Solutions Labor Consultants Executive Vice President and Host of Employee Relations Words of Wisdom, Bob Carroll has an open and no holds barred conversation about the state of race issues in society and the workplace with Marsh & McLellan Risk Manager, Kefentse “K” Mandisa.

Let’s face it, this is a topic that has taken over the country (actually the world) in 2020. There have been protests, political debates and even riots. While some speak up most have a fear of having a real conversation without fear of overstepping the line. These conversations must take you outside of your comfort zone. Conversations like this one start with an understanding that view points differ but at the same time if you give people a chance to explain their point of view without an argument they are powerful and lead to an understanding of different cultures, views of society and lifestyles.

K certainly taught me a few things and I had the opportunity to share a few points with him. This is what meaningful and open conversation is all about. It is not talking at or to someone; it is talking WITH someone.
